This container when used with UN Cover Number: +AX3384, may be shipped under Package Specification Item 258 of National Motor Freight Classification and Test Procedures per Rule 40 of the Uniform Freight Classification, the Test procedures per Rule 40 of the Uniform Freight Classification, and per 49 CFR 173.24.  This container is suitable for use with Packaging Group II or Group III commodities. Inquire about current UN Marking Number.

Material:

Prime Virgin, FDA Approved, high density polyethylene, .090 in, minimum wall thickness with bail.

Construction:

The container is molded in one piece with the body tapered to permit one pail to nest inside another for economical storage and shipping. The ears for the bail are molded as an integral part of the container. 

Cover:

The UN Cover Number: +AX3384 is an all plastic cover with a tubular gasket that will accommodate the wide variety of products packaged in the Paragon UN  pail. Available with a pour spout and a variety 
of closures.

Testing:

Guidelines for use of the pail should be established by the individual fillers 
taking into account the many variables encountered, such as ambient and fill
temperatures, stacking arrangements, internal and external pressures,
compatibility and permeability.  Compatibilities and permeability per 49 CFR 178.601 and conform to the transportation requirements of 49 CFR 173.24.  It is the responsibility of the filler to ensure that a hazardous material not be shipped in this container that exceeds the designed, advertised and intended purpose of this container.  the container, UN Number: +AX3384, can be suitably used with Packaging Group II or group III liquid commodities which have a specific gravity not in excess of 1.5.
